Five For Friday - September 26th Readout

SPEAKER_00:

It's five for Friday on September 26th. I create five articles every Friday for people interested in public sector operations in general and public procurement specifically. And from time to time, I record an audio companion, which is what you're listening to now. So, first, the Procurement Excellence Network hosts a webinar on September 30th at 2 Eastern, which of course is Tuesday, titled Transformative Infrastructure Navigating Project Uncertainty through Public Procurement, which focuses on driving excellence in large-scale infrastructure projects, primarily focused on Stephanie Pollock, a transportation and infrastructure thought leader with decades of experience. Second, NASPO, the state procurement officials, highlights a Cronin Award finalist in Michigan's RAMP program, which is redefining procurement staff onboarding with a modernized training curriculum that quickly turns new hires into confident, capable contributors. Third, the Coalition for Common Sense and Government Procurement provides a timely look at Shutdown 101, examining the impact of a potential government shutdown next Wednesday and his impact on the contracting and vendor community. Fourth, Barrett and Green shares a guest article with Dave Gragan and others on the ripple effects of federal decisions on state level policy and operations and the opportunities for states to continue to serve as laboratories of innovation. And finally, Victor Lemer wants you to be a knowledge sharer as a public procurement professional and follow suit by sharing some people and discussions that he's found were worth your time in recent weeks. Next week, I will be at the GovRAMP conference in Chicago at the end of the week. I've been heads down on business stuff in my home office for several weeks. So it'll be good to get back out into the field and see some people. And then shortly after that is the NPI conference. So time to gear it back up. And with that, have a happy Friday.
