As we approach the mid-year mark for 2024, it's a great time to revisit and reaffirm our commitment to support Food Rescue US. At Civic Initiatives, we have pledged that a portion of every dollar from our clients would support this cause through 2024. Additionally, we've been working to create volunteer opportunities for our team to engage with and understand this critical issue firsthand. Food Rescue US is committed to eliminating hunger and food waste, preventing food from ending up in landfills and reducing greenhouse gases. This effort addresses two significant issues, food waste and food insecurity. Here are some new achievements they've accomplished so far this year. national coordination during Food Waste Prevention Week. For the first time in its 11-year history, Food Rescue U.S. coordinated resources across 18 states for a massive rescue operation from hundreds of Panera cafes in early April. As Panera updated its menu, volunteers picked up surplus inventory and delivered it directly to social service agencies serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. This initiative harnessed the collective efforts of 20 Food Rescue U.S. sites, 12 partner rescue organizations, organizations and nine national food donor relationships, providing food recovery coverage for hundreds of locations. This effort positively impacted tens of thousands of lives. Formula One Miami Grand Prix rescue. In an impressive feat, over 90,000 pounds of food were rescued from the Formula One race in Miami. Food Rescue US was awarded a$200,000 grant to design, pilot, and implement an API with point-of-sale provider Toast, which will provide food rescue opportunities for their 100,000 Thank you.
